Spring Step 03:13
Was it a black swan? Was it rotten luck? We’re holed up, while a rare bird shits on us Are you feeling restless on the river of solitude? Woke up mean? Drink your Ovaltine. Put a spring step in your soul Take the time to let time bend Don’t blame the beginning for the end Remember the feeling? Hell, best to just move on It’s all fine maybe till it’s gone I’ll be taking laps around in my backyard champagne pool Twelve weeks in my fantasy suite is long overdue Roll on, I’ll meet you down at the edge of the horizon Roll on, I’ll meet you down with bells and my dancing boots on Spring has fallen and summer’s grown cold When will this python break its hold? I’m sure I’d hit fast forward if I could Then again, you can’t get backpay for time unaccounted for The seeds we’ve sewn now are overgrown Got no choice but to brave the unknown There was time before, but somehow it’s now You can’t tell the music what to allow

Clouds so swift the rain won’t lift The gates won’t close, the railing’s froze Get your mind off of wintertime You ain’t going nowhere I don’t care how many letters they sent The morning came, the morning went Pick up your money, put up your tent You ain’t going nowhere Buy me some rings and gun that sings A flute that toots and a bee that stings A sky cries and a bird that flies A fish that walks and a dog that talks Looking for rent money in your boots You’re upside down, but nothing shakes loose So strap yourself to a tree with roots And you ain’t going nowhere Ooo, ride me high Tomorrow’s the day that my bride is gonna come Oh, ain’t we gonna fly Down into the easy chair

Quiet peaceful uneasy streets Ocean waving at an empty beach No midnight trips to the stage door No friendly drinks to meet at the bar On the run from the setting sun Don’t wait and linger once the bell’s rung Blindsided on the edge of the past Inside a moment that didn’t last I can see those darker vibes I can feel the darker vibe Weeding through your darker vibes I can feel the darker vibe Grown tired of dead end kings And puppet masters who pull their strings Those storm clouds are never far When you wish upon a star To clean the power off bloody hands Losing the grasp on a fistful of sand Ambushed by future’s touch I know you know it don’t take much And we can see those darker vibes We can feel the darker vibe Weeding through our darker vibes We can feel the darker vibe

Hollow Log 02:11
When I come home My troubles are gone When I come home At the end of the day It all melts away And I’m done I’ll fix a drink, put up my feet Where I dwell when I’m done raising hell Y’know I’ve sowed me some wild oats Adjust to sane as I feed my goats Pressure cookin with nowhere to go Follow the shelter of the valley road When caught in the sun you wish for fog Escape to the shade in my hollow log On the road yet again Such is the life of a travellin’ man Honking my mouth harp up over the bridge Another week of spoiled milk in the fridge Hostile hotel beds are leavin’ me sore The same new pit stop is such a bore My red recliner is on my mind And a lumpy mattress that matches my spine

I want you Maybe don’tcha want me too? Hey there, won’t you come along? Let’s share our favorite songs The primrose path I walk along is never ending Some mistakes tend to repeat But I wont accept defeat Still trying to get some heat from smoldering embers I’m shifting stars to my desire Making room for you and I I’m shooting marbles in the sky Hoping we might collide I’ll play the fool again Dancing with scorpions I lick my wounds, dust off and I ain’t learning no lessons But the pain from every sting Another chance at immunity Or you can hot shot me with that anti-venom I want you Maybe don’tcha want me too?

3 Wishes 03:04
One has spoken With one eye open One has spoken there don’t ever need to feel despair, no With three wishes What are you picking? Oh won’t you break me from my fable? Myself torn in-an-outta Don’t be restrained, now But don’t be so swayed, now Don’t unsew my way Trippin on loose threads makes me hesitate. I wanna Turn the clock back Erase the stop gaps But I know that what’s gone beyond responds to the cracks I’m on If it turned out this way Change is nothing If it turned out this way Change is everything New blood has flood in From that I’m soaking I’m holding onto my tokens ‘Til I can cash in on what’s awoken now

Hard and fast, it’s gonna leave you hanging blue When you’re down, they’re gonna throw it back on you I can’t help but think about the things you do I can’t help it’s gonna take a hold on you You don’t know why you’re young and feeling old You don’t know how you go from hot to cold Running for the lights, running for the scene Living on the all time green
8.
Young one sulking down and glum Run deep into the setting sun Chase your dreams, my race has run Got what I want when I wanted some Found trouble on the low path so I went around Caught the new view from a higher ground Freed from my grief-case when I set it down I got no use for it where I’m bound Followed faith along the sea A broken mirror was shown to me Je suis la jeune fille Now I know you see what I see When I was up When I’ve been down
